A little bit more about VALLE DE INTAG!

We spend a good time enjoying the hot springs of the Intag Valley. Ice cream and stunning views were enjoyed by all!

The next day we got into an incredible adventure! We got to meet a very important person who opened his house and his project to us. Jose “Pepe” Jijon has a coffee farm where we had the chance to learn about the whole coffee process. We learned about the different species and the long process needed to have good coffee on the table. Students really enjoyed the coffee tea which is made with the skin of beautiful red coffee beans.

Pepe is a very humble person and we will be eternally grateful for opening the doors of his home and sharing his knowledge. Pepe is a very important person as he has sumitted the highest mountains on all 7 continents and was the first Latin American to summit Mount Everest solo! We spent the whole afternoon sharing his stories and asking questions.
